The head of the National Security Bureau, Jacek Siewiera, a guest of Fakty po Faktach on TVN24 on Thursday, was asked how many Polish citizens are still in the war-torn Gaza Strip and whether there is a chance that they will be released.
– We know of at least one Polish citizen who remains among the hostages in the tunnels under the Gaza Strip and about a dozen or so citizens or families of citizens who are residents of the Gaza Strip or have been in the Gaza Strip – he replied. – We will not stop trying to bring them to safe areas or release them – he assured.
When asked with whom talks were being held on this matter, the head of the National Security Bureau replied that “consular services and uniformed services are involved in talks both with the Israeli side and with actors on the Palestinian side and others in the region.” – Suffice it to say that in the coming days, at the president’s request, we will visit the Middle East – he added.
Siewiera clarified that he was the head of this delegation. – I will also be responsible for conducting this part of the talks – he said.
Israeli military operations, launched in the northern part of the Gaza Strip after the October 7 Hamas attack, now cover the entire Palestinian territory.
