The Warsaw Summit, a meeting of the leaders of European conservative and right-wing parties, will take place on Saturday in Warsaw. On the eve of the convention, a gala dinner was held in Łazienki Królewskie. A photo of this event was published on social media by the president of the French National Union, Marine Le Pen. The head of the Polish government also met with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, who will also be a participant in Saturday’s meeting. During the talks, security issues in the region were discussed in the context of the current situation on the Polish-Belarusian border of the European Union.

For Saturday’s congress of the European right, which is in favor of stopping what it believes to be the transformation of the European Union into a state, several politicians were invited, including the president of the French National Union Marine Le Pen, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, leader of the Spanish populist VOX party Santiago Abascal, chairman the populist Flemish Interest party Tom Van Grieken and the chairman of the Estonian Conservative People’s Party, Martin Helme.

On Friday, Le Pen informed on social media that in the evening she would be received by Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki to “exchange comments on the future of European nations”. She was joined by an invitation issued by the Polish Prime Minister to a dinner at 8 p.m. at the Palace on the Isle in the Royal Łazienki Park.

Around 9.30 p.m., the French politician posted a photo with the head of the Polish government on Twitter. She also wrote that she thanked him for welcoming him to Warsaw. “Together we want the Europe of nations to restore freedom and sovereignty to the peoples of Europe,” she added.

Before the dinner with the prime minister, the leader of the French National Union appeared, among others, in front of the Monument to the Heroes of the Warsaw Ghetto, where she laid a wreath. She also visited the Castle Square.

Morawiecki met in Warsaw with the Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orban

Also on Friday, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban came to Warsaw. Before the Saturday convention, he also met Mateusz Morawiecki, which was announced by the Chancellery of the Prime Minister on Twitter.

“During the talks, inter alia, security issues in the region were discussed in the context of the current situation on the Polish-Belarusian border of the European Union, as well as in eastern Ukraine,” the Chancellery of the Prime Minister announced on Friday evening.

According to the preliminary program, Saturday’s meeting of right-wing party leaders will start after 10.00 am from the speech of PiS president Jarosław Kaczyński. – Later, two working sessions will be held in a closed formula, during which the heads of European parties and the delegations accompanying them will discuss the future of Europe, the European Union, possible institutional reforms of the Community, and the possibility of future cooperation, the PiS source told PAP.

The meeting is to end with the adoption of a joint declaration by the heads of the parties participating in the meeting.
