The president of COP28 has stated feedback he made claiming there was “no science” behind slicing fossil fuels have been misrepresented.
The top of the local weather change summit in Dubai sparked fury amongst local weather leaders after saying there was no science to suggest phasing out fossil fuels will restrict international warming to 1.5C.
Addressing the controversy over the remarks, Sultan al Jaber pressured that the phasing out of fossil fuels was important.
He stated the feedback have been misrepresented to get most protection and hit out at what he known as the “fixed and repeated makes an attempt to undermine the work of the COP28 presidency”.
The controversial remarks have been made throughout an ill-tempered on-line query and reply session final month, a video obtained by The Guardian revealed on Sunday.
He hit out at scientists after fellow panellist Mary Robinson, a former UN local weather envoy, stated nations wanted to decide to phasing out fossil gasoline utilization.
