At Rome’s Spallanzani infectious disease hospital, 94 percent of COVID-19 patients undergoing resuscitation are unvaccinated or just one dose of the preparation, the facility reported on Saturday. These data, as it is noted, confirm the effectiveness of vaccination also in the case of the variant of the coronavirus – Delta, which is currently dominant in Italy.

For the first time since May, the National Institute of Health Services has recorded an increase in coronavirus infections in the age group over 40, especially in the 50-59 age group. Last week, however, the rate of increase in infection in people aged 10 to 29 years has slowed. The average age of those infected rose to 32 years.
