Bolesław Piecha, a PiS MP, said in “Fakty po Faktach” on TVN24 that in his opinion “if someone is not vaccinated, he cannot be treated in the same way as those who are vaccinated”. MP Izabela Leszczyna from the Civic Coalition assessed that “what the PiS government and the parliamentary majority have been doing since the beginning of the pandemic, when it comes to testing, for covid passports, and for the vaccination program, is one great national impossibilism.”
MEPs Izabela Leszczyna from the Civic Coalition and Bolesław Piecha from PiS assessed in “Fakty po Faktach” how the government is dealing with the pandemic. They were asked, among other things, why the Seym has not yet adopted a law that would allow employers to check whether an employee is vaccinated. It was also discussed whether covid certificates should be valid in public places.
Piecha: The unvaccinated cannot be treated in the same way as those who are vaccinated
Piecha argued that “no country has managed to win” the pandemic. – I am in favor of using certain things that the world experiences and that we see in accordance with the Polish legal procedure, also in statutory matters – he declared. – I am an absolute supporter of the covid certificate being used, one of the tools regulating our social life, (…). If someone is not vaccinated, he cannot be treated in the same way as those who are vaccinated – emphasized the PiS MP, who is a doctor by profession.
He assured that “the law concerning, for example, the restriction of the possibility of using certain events by the unvaccinated, of certain activities, is necessary and it will be created”.
– Then we will see how the opposition reacts to this law. I am convinced that it will happen soon, because most of the deputies, including the club bosses, are interested in introducing the act, where the covid certificate will be the privilege of people to get vaccinated, and will not be based on a mixture, that (this certificate) is “only for my use, “he continued.
Hazel: What the government has been doing since the beginning of the pandemic is one great national imposibilism
Izabela Leszczyna assured that “the entire democratic opposition speaks with one voice: bring the bill and we will vote for it”. – We will help you, because the point is that these half a thousand people a day do not die – she said.
She assessed that “PiS cynically chooses to extend its rule”. “They want to stay in power as long as possible and know that they will lose perhaps the 3-4 percent of the electorate they need to stay in power,” she continued. According to Leszczyna, “the parliamentary act (draft – ed.), Which throws responsibility on the employer, is not at all what can stop this virus transmission”.
– The honorable Member knows perfectly well that it is also about the fact that a person who is not vaccinated, is not a healed person, or does not have a negative test result, should not be allowed to stay in the cinema, theater, restaurant or shopping mall. This is also what it is about, bring such a law, we will support such a law – she asked Piecha.
– President Kaczyński used to change, in all cases, such a not very nice, non-Polish word, “impossibilism”. What the PiS government and the parliamentary majority have been doing since the beginning of the pandemic, when it comes to testing, covid passports, and vaccination program, is one great national impossibilism performed by PiS – said the deputy.
