The map of coronavirus infections in Poland shows that the largest number of infections from the beginning of the epidemic was confirmed in Mazowsze and Silesia, and the least in the Opole and Świętokrzyskie regions. On Tuesday, the Ministry of Health announced 19,074 new SARS-CoV-2 infections. Over 20.4 million Poles are fully vaccinated against the coronavirus. See the latest data from the Ministry of Health.
The Ministry of Health informed about 19,074 new infections on Tuesday. A week ago, the Ministry of Health reported 19,936 confirmed infections. Today’s infection rate is 852 lower. That’s a 4.3 percent decrease.
The ministry also announced that 526 people infected with the coronavirus have died. 376 of them had comorbidities.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, it has been confirmed in Poland 3 540 061 infections, died collectively 83 583 people suffering from COVID-19.
Coronavirus in Poland. How many vaccinations have been taken?
The government website said it was announced by Monday 41 675 389 doses of different COVID-19 vaccines. The first dose was taken 20 829 997 vaccinations. It is fully vaccinated 20 418 316 people – vaccinated with a single-dose preparation of Johnson & Johnson or two doses of AstraZeneca, Moderna or Pfizer / BioNTech vaccines.
According to information provided on the government website, by Tuesday an additional dose of the COVID-19 vaccine was taken by a total of 2 836 221 people. This is the third dose for people who have received the preparation from Pfizer / BioNTech, Moderna, or the second for people who have taken the preparation from Johnson & Johnson.
248 626 of them took a booster dose. People receiving it must be immunocompromised people aged 12 years and over and are fully vaccinated with a preparation from Pfizer / BioNTech, Moderny or AstraZeneki.
Others – 2 587 595 people – they took a booster dose that is available to all willing adults, regardless of which of the four preparations available in Poland they were vaccinated.
How many people recovered? How many vacancies are there for COVID-19 patients?
Tuesday’s epidemic data report shows that:
– 27 232 the beds are intended for patients with COVID-19 (+751 compared to the previous day), – of this 21 172 beds are occupied by COVID-19 patients (+651), – 2460 ventilators are intended for patients with COVID-19 (+22), – from this 1825 respirators are currently used (+5) – 681 485 people are quarantined (+47 625), – 3 038 451 people recovered (+15 680).

The SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus in Poland was first confirmed on March 4, 2020.
The number of two million confirmed infections was exceeded on March 19, 2021.
Coronavirus in Poland. Restrictions
On April 28, Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki introduced economic defrosting plan. In May, they returned to operation, among others hotels, restaurants and galleries. From May 15, the obligation to wear masks in the open air was abolished. From May 21 cinemas, theaters, operas, philharmonics, houses and cultural centers were opened. From May 28, restaurateurs can receive guests inside their premises, and hotel restaurants have also been opened. According to a government regulation, casinos, swimming pools and gyms also resumed operations on that day. All while maintaining the sanitary regime.
Hotels and leisure facilities: the limit of 75 percent of occupied rooms,
Objects of religious worship: limit of 75 percent of all places
Cinemas and theaters: the limit of 75 percent of occupied seats,
Sports events and concerts at sports facilities: limit of 50 percent of places,
Gyms, fitness clubs, casinos, commercial venues, post offices, libraries, fairs, conferences, exhibitions and playrooms: 1 person per 10 square meters,
Discos: limit of 150 people,
Amusement parks: 75 percent occupancy limit,
Restaurants: The limit of 75 percent of seats occupied.
The vaccinated persons are not counted towards the quotas.
However, they are to apply from December 1 to December 17 partially changed restrictions, i.e.:
– a ban on flights to seven countries (Botswana, Eswatini, Lesotho, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa, Zimbabwe), – extension of the quarantine to 14 days for people who travel to Poland from countries outside the Schengen area. The possibility of releasing them from quarantine – from the eighth day after the PCR test, – all facilities where the 75 percent fill limit has so far been reduced to 50 percent – this is about gastronomy, hotels, cinemas, theaters, community centers, concerts, swimming pools, water parks. Vaccinated people will not be included in the limits, – changed limit for meetings and celebrations – so far it was 150 people, now it will be reduced to 100. This includes weddings, communions and discos, – changing the limit of people at sports events organized outside the venues sports. Until now, it was 500 people, now it will be 250 people, – a changed limit of people, among others in shopping centers and large-format stores, gyms, fitness centers, museums – where previously there was a limit of 1 person per 10 square meters, currently there will be a limit of 1 person per 15 square meters.
The other restrictions will remain unchanged.
