The map of coronavirus infections in Poland shows that the most cases from the beginning of the epidemic have been confirmed in Masovia and Silesia, and the least in the Opole region and Podlasie. 181 new cases of coronavirus were confirmed on Saturday. According to the Ministry of Health, four people suffering from COVID-19 died last day.

Coronavirus in Poland. How many vaccinations have been taken?
It was served by Saturday 34 925 459 doses of different COVID-19 vaccines. The first dose was taken 18 572 928 vaccinations. They are fully vaccinated 17 818 502 people – vaccinated with a single-dose preparation of Johnson & Johnson or a second dose of AstraZeneca, Moderna or Pfizer / BioNTech vaccines.
How many people recovered? How many free beds are there for COVID-19 patients?
The epidemic data report published on Saturday showed that:
– 6057 beds are intended for patients with COVID-19 (10 less than the day before), – of this 307 beds are occupied by COVID-19 patients (+11), – 585 ventilators are intended for patients with COVID-19 (-10) – including 44 respirators are currently used (+2), – 72 394 persons are in quarantine (+228). – 2 654 359 people recovered (+135).
Coronavirus in Poland – how many infections?
The SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus in Poland was first confirmed on March 4, 2020. After 215 days, or seven months – on October 4 to be exact – the number of cases exceeded 100,000. Another 100,000 infections were confirmed after 17 days – October 21. The third 100,000 new infections were confirmed after eight days (October 22-29). Another 100,000 infections were confirmed within five days (October 30 to November 3). We reached the level of over 500,000 in four days (from 4 to 7 November). We exceeded 600,000 infections in the next four days (November 11). We crossed 700,000 on November 15, also after four days. Another 100,000 infections were confirmed after five days – on November 20, the number of infections exceeded 800,000. On November 24 – after adding the missing 22,954 cases – the number exceeded 900,000. The ceiling of one million confirmed infections was surpassed on December 2after another eight days. We passed the next 100,000 cases on December 10, and more after another ten days (December 20).
On January 1, 2021, the number of confirmed infections in Poland exceeded 1.3 million. Another 100,000 cases were confirmed after nearly two weeks – on January 13, the number of infections exceeded 1.4 million. On January 29, the Ministry of Health announced that over 1.5 million cases have already been confirmed. Another 100,000 infections were confirmed after 16 days – on February 17 we exceeded 1.6 million cases. On February 28, i.e. after 11 days, the number of detected infections exceeded 1.7 million. On March 8, we crossed another threshold – 1.8 million SARS-CoV-2 infections in Poland, and on March 14 there were over 1.9 million.
The number of 2 million confirmed infections was exceeded after another five days – March 19. After five consecutive days passed, the threshold of 2.1 million infections detected was exceeded on March 24. On March 27, over 2.2 million infections were confirmed, and on March 31, over 2.3 million were confirmed. The next threshold, 2.4 million confirmed infections, was breached on April 3. After six consecutive days, on April 9, the number of SARS-CoV-2 infections confirmed in Poland exceeded 2.5 million.
The Ministry of Health announced that we have more than 2.6 million confirmed infections with coronavirus in Poland, in a release from April 14. On April 20, more than 2.7 million infections were detected. On May 2, the number of those infected has exceeded 2.8 million since the start of the pandemic.
Coronavirus in Poland. Restrictions
On April 28, Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki introduced economic defrosting plan. In May, they returned to operation, among others hotels, restaurants and galleries. From May 15, the obligation to wear masks in the open air was abolished. From May 21 cinemas, theaters, operas, philharmonics, houses and cultural centers were opened. From May 28, restaurateurs can receive guests inside their premises, and hotel restaurants have also been opened. According to a government regulation, casinos, swimming pools and gyms also resumed operations on that day. All while maintaining the sanitary regime.
Hotels and leisure facilities: the limit of 75 percent of occupied rooms,

Cinemas and theaters: the limit of 75 percent of occupied seats,
Sports events and concerts at sports facilities: limit of 50 percent of places,
Gyms, fitness clubs, casinos, commercial venues, post offices, libraries, fairs, conferences, exhibitions and playrooms: 1 person per 10 square meters,
Discos: limit of 150 people,
Amusement parks: 75 percent occupancy limit,
Restaurants: the limit of 75 percent of occupied seats,
Events and meetings organized outdoors, in the premises or in a separate catering area: limit of 150 people,
Assembly: limit of 150 people,
Public transport: no limit, with an obligation to cover the nose and mouth.
The vaccinated persons are not counted towards the quotas.
