The map of coronavirus infections in Poland shows that the largest number of infections from the beginning of the epidemic was confirmed in Mazowsze and Silesia, and the least – in the Świętokrzyskie and Opolskie provinces. On Tuesday, the website gov.pl informed about 2035 new SARS-CoV-2 infections. Last day, five people with COVID-19 died. So far, over 22.5 million Poles have been fully vaccinated. On April 15, the Ministry of Health announced that will inform you about new infections coronavirus once a week – on Wednesdays.

However, daily data appear on the government website gov.pl/koronawirus. On Tuesday it was informed about 2035 new infections. Out of this number, 315 reinfections were recorded.

This is the highest daily report since April 2. A week ago, the Ministry of Health reported 1,075 confirmed infections. Today, the number of infections is 960 higher. That’s an increase of 89 percent.

The ministry said that five people suffering from COVID-19 died last day. Four of them had comorbidities.

With 2,035 confirmed infections, the Ministry of Health announced 7,648 tests for the presence of the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus. This means that the infection was confirmed by more than every fourth test (26.6%).

The average number of confirmed infections per day, calculated on the basis of data from the last seven days, has increased to 984, the highest since April 26. This rate has been increasing continuously since June 18, when it was 170 infections per day.

From the beginning of the epidemic in Poland, the authorities confirmed 6 024 488 infection. It died due to COVID-19 116 458 people.

Last Wednesday, the Ministry of Health announced that in the period from June 30 to July 6 confirmed 4163 infectionsincluding 556 re-infections.

The ministry said that infections confirmed during this week were detected in people from the following voivodeships: Mazowieckie (931), Śląskie (541), Małopolskie (384), Dolnośląskie (360), Pomorskie (292), Wielkopolskie (251), Łódzkie (229) , Lublin (172), Kujawsko-Pomorskie (152), Opole (131), Podkarpacie (130), Podlasie (118), Świętokrzyskie (111), West Pomeranian (111), Warmian-Masurian (96) and Lubuskie (76).

78 infections are data without specifying an address, which are to be completed by the sanitary inspection.

The ministry said five people had died from COVID-19, and 11 people had died from COVID-19 and other diseases.

The ministry informed that more than 29.7 thousand tests for the presence of coronavirus.

Coronavirus in Poland. How many vaccinations have been taken?

According to data published on the government’s vaccination website, it was announced by Tuesday 54 630 140 doses of different vaccines. The first dose was taken 22 739 414 vaccinations. They are fully vaccinated 22 519 473 people – vaccinated with a single-dose preparation of Johnson & Johnson or two doses of AstraZeneca, Moderna or Pfizer / BioNTech vaccines.

According to the information provided on the government website, until Tuesday they were given in aggregate 11 959 162 booster doses of COVID-19 vaccines. This is the sum of injections in people who completed the primary vaccination course at least 180 days earlier, counting from the date of the last dose. This is the third dose for people who took the preparation from Pfizer / BioNTech or Moderna, or the second for people who took the preparation from Johnson & Johnson.

Vaccinations against COVID-19 – the most important information

12 July health ministry said it was done 225 834 vaccination with the third supplementary dose – this number did not change from the previous day. These are people from the age of 12 who have immunity disorders and have already been fully vaccinated with a preparation from Pfizer / BioNTech, Moderna or AstraZeneka.
