The map of coronavirus infections in Poland shows that the highest number of infections since the beginning of the epidemic has been confirmed in Mazovia and Silesia, and the lowest – in the Świętokrzyskie and Opolskie provinces. On Saturday, the website gov.pl informed about 2,131 new SARS-CoV-2 infections. So far, over 22.5 million Poles have been fully vaccinated. See the latest data.

However, daily data appear on the government website gov.pl/koronawirus. On Saturday it was informed about 2,131 new infections. In this number, 298 reinfections were recorded.

2,131 confirmed infections are the highest daily report that the Ministry of Health has published since April 1, when the fifth wave of the epidemic ended. A week ago, the Ministry of Health reported 1,264 confirmed infections. Today’s infection rate is 867 higher. That’s an increase of 69 percent. The average number of confirmed infections per day, calculated on the basis of data from the last seven days, is 1,448, the highest since April 7. This indicator has been increasing continuously since June 19. The day before, it was 170, which is eight and a half times less. With 2,131 confirmed infections, the Ministry of Health announced 7,532 tests for the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus. This means that the infection was confirmed by 28 percent of the tests performed. This percentage has remained above a quarter every day since July 12.

The ministry said on Saturday that no person suffering from COVID-19 has died.

Coronavirus in Poland. How many vaccinations have been taken?

According to the data published on the government vaccination website, it was announced by Saturday 54 647 716 doses of different vaccines. The first dose was taken 22 741 769 vaccinations. It is fully vaccinated 22 521 066 people – vaccinated with a single-dose preparation of Johnson & Johnson or two doses of AstraZeneca, Moderna or Pfizer / BioNTech vaccines.

According to the information provided on the government website, until Saturday was given in aggregate 11 973 409 booster doses of COVID-19 vaccines. This is the sum of injections in people who completed the primary vaccination course at least 180 days earlier, counting from the date of the last dose. This is the third dose for people who took the preparation from Pfizer / BioNTech or Moderna, or the second for people who took the preparation from Johnson & Johnson.

Vaccinations against COVID-19 – the most important information

July 16 health ministry said it was done 225 803 vaccination with the third supplementary dose – this number did not change from the previous day. It concerns people from the age of 12 who have immunity disorders and have already been fully vaccinated with the preparation of Pfizer / BioNTechu, Moderny or AstraZeneki.
