The map of coronavirus infections in Poland shows that the highest number of infections since the beginning of the epidemic has been confirmed in Mazovia and Silesia, and the lowest – in the Świętokrzyskie and Opolskie provinces. On Tuesday, the website gov.pl informed about 3,251 new SARS-CoV-2 infections. This is the highest daily report that the Ministry of Health has published since April 1, when the fifth wave of the epidemic was ending. This is also a 60 percent increase over the number of infections recorded a week ago. So far, over 22.5 million Poles have been fully vaccinated. See the latest data.

Daily data, however, appear on the government website gov.pl/koronawirus. On Tuesday it was informed about 3,251 new infections. Of this number, 548 reinfections were recorded. The ministry also informed about the death of five infected people.

3,251 confirmed infections is the highest daily report that the Ministry of Health has published since April 1, when the fifth wave of the epidemic ended. A week ago, the Ministry of Health reported 2035 confirmed infections. Today’s infection rate is 1,216 higher. That’s an increase of 60 percent. The average number of confirmed infections per day, calculated on the basis of data from the last seven days, is 1651, the highest since April 7. This indicator has been increasing continuously since June 19. The day before it was 170, it has increased almost tenfold since then.

With 3,251 confirmed infections, the Ministry of Health announced that 9,915 tests for the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus were carried out. This means that the infection was confirmed by almost one third of the tests performed (32.8%). The number of samples tested is at its highest since May 17. In contrast, we had a higher percentage of positive tests last January 30, which is just before the peak of the fifth wave of infections.

Every day, the Ministry of Health publishes tables with data on new infections and deaths in individual voivodeships and poviats. Every day, the sum of data on infections for all voivodships and counties is lower than the figures for the entire country, because in some cases it is not known what the address of the infected person is; Sanepid only over time is to supplement these data.

The ministry said that 2 patients had died from COVID-19, and 22 people had died due to the coexistence of COVID-19 with other diseases.

Coronavirus in Poland. How many vaccinations have been taken?

According to data published on the government’s vaccination site, it was announced by Tuesday 54 652 118 doses of different vaccines. The first dose was taken 22 741 903 vaccinations. It is fully vaccinated 22 742 280 people – vaccinated with a single-dose preparation of Johnson & Johnson or two doses of AstraZeneca, Moderna or Pfizer / BioNTech vaccines.

According to the information provided on the government website, until Tuesday they were given in aggregate 11,977,072 doses booster vaccines against COVID-19. This is the sum of injections in people who completed the primary vaccination course at least 180 days earlier, counting from the date of the last dose. This is the third dose for people who took the preparation from Pfizer / BioNTech or Moderna, or the second for people who took the preparation from Johnson & Johnson.

July 18 health ministry said it was done 225 715 vaccination with the third supplementary dose – this number did not change from the previous day. It concerns people from the age of 12 who have immunity disorders and have already been fully vaccinated with the preparation of Pfizer / BioNTechu, Moderny or AstraZeneki.
