The map of coronavirus infections in Poland shows that the highest number of infections since the beginning of the epidemic has been confirmed in Mazovia and Silesia, and the lowest – in the Świętokrzyskie and Opolskie provinces. On Wednesday, 2,853 new SARS-CoV-2 infections were reported on the gov.pl website. This is an increase of 73 percent compared to last week’s data. 2,853 new infections, compared to last week’s data, is an increase of 73 percent

Daily data, however, appear on the government website gov.pl/koronawirus. On Wednesday it was informed about 2,853 new infections. Of this number, 429 reinfections were recorded. The ministry also informed about the death of 11 infected people.

A week ago, the Ministry of Health reported 1,647 confirmed infections. The number of infections today is higher by 1,206. That’s an increase of 73 percent. The average number of confirmed infections per day, calculated on the basis of data from the last seven days, is 1,824, the highest since April 6. This indicator has been increasing continuously since June 19. The day before it was 170, since then it has increased almost eleven times in a month.

With 2,853 confirmed infections, the Ministry of Health announced 8,931 tests for the presence of the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus. This means that the infection was confirmed by almost one third of the tests performed (31.9%). This is slightly less than on Tuesday (32.8%); previously, we had a higher percentage of positive tests on January 30, which was just before the peak of the fifth wave of infections.

The ministry said that 7 patients had died from COVID-19, and 15 people had died due to the coexistence of COVID-19 with other diseases.

The ministry informed that over this period was completed 45.4 thousand tests for the presence of coronavirus.

Coronavirus in Poland. How many vaccinations have been taken?

According to figures posted on the government’s vaccination site, it was announced by Wednesday 54 655 408 doses of different vaccines. The first dose was taken 22 742 280 vaccinations. It is fully vaccinated 22 521 808 people – vaccinated with a single-dose preparation of Johnson & Johnson or two doses of AstraZeneca, Moderna or Pfizer / BioNTech vaccines.

According to the information provided on the government website, until Wednesday was given in aggregate 11,979,823 doses booster vaccines against COVID-19. This is the sum of injections in people who completed the primary vaccination course at least 180 days earlier, counting from the date of the last dose. This is the third dose for people who took the preparation from Pfizer / BioNTech or Moderna, or the second for people who took the preparation from Johnson & Johnson.

20th of July health ministry said it was done 225 697 vaccination with the third supplementary dose – this number did not change from the previous day. It concerns people from the age of 12 who have immunity disorders and have already been fully vaccinated with the preparation of Pfizer / BioNTechu, Moderny or AstraZeneki.
