When you come on vacation, you can schedule your COVID-19 vaccination right away. In Międzyzdroje (West Pomeranian Voivodeship), the preparation can be taken without prior registration. All this to vaccinate as many people as possible as soon as possible.

In Międzyzdroje, both residents and tourists who come here on vacation can vaccinate themselves against COVID-19 without unnecessary formalities. – You can take the first dose with us, go home and get vaccinated with the second dose, there are no obstacles – says Beata Kiryluk, vice-mayor of Międzyzdroje.

As he adds, the preparation can be taken by anyone, it is enough to have a proof of identity with you. You don’t even need to register in advance.

– We also vaccinate foreigners. Here, in our area, a lot of people from Ukraine and Belarus work and they also take advantage of the possibility of being vaccinated at our points – emphasizes the vice-mayor.

“For the sake of granddaughters and for myself”

As the data of the commune office show, almost half of the inhabitants, that is over three thousand people, got vaccinated in Międzyzdroje.

– Most tourists have been vaccinated – says Kiryluk. – We have had nine thousand vaccinated people for three months, of which – according to the data – we have 50 percent vaccinated residents, or about three thousand – he adds.

Local government officials encourage both local and visitors to vaccinate. And the reasons for which we vaccinate vary. “ For the sake of her granddaughters and for herself, ” says one of the women, who already took the second dose of the COVID-19 preparation on Thursday.
