The Ministry of Health announced 176 new confirmed cases of coronavirus infection on Thursday. The ministry also said that six people from COVID-19 had died in the last 24 hours. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 2,883,624 infections have been confirmed in Poland, resulting in the death of 75,275 people.
Most of the 176 new cases of coronavirus infection have been confirmed in in the Lesser Poland Voivodeshipwhere noted 36 infection.
The remaining infections come from the following voivodeships: Mazowieckie (21), Dolnośląskie (19), Lubelskie (15), Śląskie (15), Kujawsko-Pomorskie (8), Zachodniopomorskie (8), Łódzkie (7), Wielkopolskie (7), Podkarpackie ( 6), Podlaskie (5), Pomorskie (5), Świętokrzyskie (5), Opolskie (3), Warmińsko-Mazurskie (3) and Lubuskie (1).
12 infections are data without specifying an address, which are to be completed by the sanitary inspection.
Last Thursday, the Ministry of Health reported 167 confirmed infections. In today’s report it was noted about nine more infections.
According to the Ministry of Health, the previous day died due to COVID-19 six people. Two of them also had other conditions.

An epidemic report released on Thursday said:
– 6067 beds are intended for patients with COVID-19 (-5 compared to the previous day), – of this 298 beds are occupied by COVID-19 patients (+6), – 595 ventilators are intended for patients with COVID-19 (unchanged) – from this 42 respirators are currently used (+3), – 74 265 people are quarantined (-1017). – 2 654 097 people recovered (+116).
Minister of Health on possible restrictions
Minister of Health Adam Niedzielski said on Wednesday at a press conference Fr. possible introduction of restrictions. He said he “absolutely upholds this declaration that those areas with low levels of vaccination will be restricted first.” – Because there is a greater risk of coronavirus transmission – he explained.
He stated that the least vaccinated regions are: Podkarpacie, Lubelszczyzna, Podlasie, as well as Warmia and Masuria. – The responsibility of the inhabitants is not only responsibility for their own health, but also for the socio-economic success of these regions – he said.
Speaking about the restrictions, the minister of health indicated that “it will be the same sequence that we had to deal with before.” When can we expect such restrictions? – When there is a large number of infections, certainly exceeding a thousand cases a day – indicated the Minister of Health.
