The Ministry of Health announced 9,512 new cases of SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus infection on Monday. The ministry also said that 12 people with COVID-19 have died. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 3,214,023 infections have been confirmed in Poland, a total of 78,879 people have died due to the coronavirus.
Earlier, he informed about the number of new cases on Monday Deputy Minister of Health Waldemar Kraska. According to the Ministry of Health’s announcement, the highest number of new infections was confirmed in Mazowieckie voivodship – 2474.

The average number of confirmed daily infections, calculated on the basis of data from the last seven days, increased to 14,640 and is the highest since April 20, i.e. for almost seven months.

More than 500 health care workers have died from COVID-19
On Saturday, the Ministry of Health released data on deaths in Poland due to COVID-19. Among the dead are 234 doctors and 193 nurses. 52 dentists, 23 midwives, 19 pharmacists, 6 physiotherapists, 6 paramedics and 5 laboratory diagnosticians – a total of 538 healthcare workers – also died.
