Niedzielski: Our original forecast needs to be reassessed
Minister of Health Adam Niedzielski He said Tuesday the ministry’s original forecast, which “said we would have infections ranging from seven thousand to twelve thousand by the end of November, needed to be overestimated.” “We tentatively assume that the lower ranges I talked about at the end of November and at the end of December will most certainly be closer to the ten thousand than the seven thousand that were originally in the forecast,” he said.
When asked about the possible introduction of local lockdowns, he replied that the government was “not considering any lockdowns”. – Continuity in the maintenance of full-time education at school is the main goal. As for other decisions, we will possibly analyze them at the beginning of November – he announced.
Horban: We’ll probably have an accurate mapping of last year’s wave
Professor Andrzej Horban, the chairman of the Medical Council at the premiere estimated on Tuesday in “Rozmowa Piaseckiego” on TVN24 that this year “we will probably have an accurate representation of the wave that was observed last fall”. – The peak was in mid-November and it will probably be. Then it will start to fall a bit, but also attention, not to zero – he emphasized.
He added that he “sees the prospect” of introducing local lockdowns. When asked when it would happen, he replied that “closer to two or three weeks in areas where there are a lot of unvaccinated people.”
