Coronavirus in Poland. The Ministry of Health announced on Saturday about 797 new, confirmed cases of SARS-CoV-2 infection. The ministry said that 14 people died last day due to COVID-19.
Most of the 797 new cases of coronavirus infection have been confirmed in the province Mazowieckiewhere noted 135 infections.
The remaining infections come from the following voivodeships: Lubelskie (122), West Pomeranian (61), Lesser Poland (57), Łódź (55), Silesian (53), Podkarpackie (52), Lower Silesia (43), Greater Poland (43), Podlasie (41), Pomeranian (37), Warmian-Masurian (28), Kuyavian-Pomeranian (twenty), Opole (17), Świętokrzyskie (15), Lubuskie (7).
11 infections are data without specifying an address, which are to be completed by the sanitary inspection.
A week ago, the ministry confirmed 530 new cases infections. It is Fr. 267 less than today.
The health ministry said on Saturday that 14 people died last day because of COVID-19, 13 of them had comorbidities.
Since the beginning of the epidemic, 2,897,395 infections have been confirmed in Poland, 75,487 people have died due to COVID-19.

The epidemic data report published on Saturday showed that:
– 6140 beds are intended for patients with COVID-19 (+25 compared to the previous day), – of this 980 beds are occupied by COVID-19 patients (+69), – 596 ventilators are intended for patients with COVID-19 (unchanged), – of this 110 respirators are currently in use (+9), – 84 180 people are quarantined (+1 943), – 2 659 020 people recovered (+208).
“The fourth wave is the wave of the unvaccinated”
Health ministry spokesman Wojciech Andrusiewicz, when asked about Thursday’s data, confirmed that the fourth wave of the epidemic is “unfortunately accelerating”. – Unfortunately, we can already see this disturbing trend in hospitals in three provinces: Podkarpackie, where bed occupancy is 26 percent, Lublin – 23 percent and Podlasie – 20 percent – he calculated.
– In these voivodships there is the highest bed occupancy and it is probably not surprising that in these voivodships there is the least vaccination – he commented.
Deputy Minister of Health Waldemar Kraska He said on Wednesday that “practically all people who go to hospitals with COVID-19, and unfortunately there are more of them overnight, are people who have not been vaccinated.” “This fourth wave is the unvaccinated wave,” he said.
