“We keep climbing the fourth wave”
Professor Joanna Zajkowska, specialist in infectious diseases and epidemiology from the University Teaching Hospital in Białystok, deputy head of the Department of Infectious Diseases and Neuroinfections at the Medical University in Białystok, was asked on Monday on TVN24 whether she has already seen the fourth wave of infections during her work. She replied, “Of course, unfortunately.”
“We’re still climbing the fourth wave,” she added. – We still have a large group that has not been vaccinated. There are people who do not want to get vaccinated and talking to them is quite difficult, but there are also people who think they have had COVID-19 and do not have a documented case of it, but feel that they felt unwell. In such a situation, an antibody test can be performed. In such situations, I encourage you to vaccinate, because maybe it was not covid – recommended professor Zajkowska.
– The problem is people who have not yet vaccinated – admitted the specialist.
