Anddrusiewicz: Unfortunately, we see the epidemic developing in three provinces
The spokesman for the Ministry of Health, Wojciech Andrusiewicz, asked by journalists to comment on this balance, said that “unfortunately we see the epidemic developing in three provinces”. – We can see that Podlasie has unfortunately overtaken Podkarpacie in terms of the use of hospital beds. We currently have approximately 56 percent of the beds in the Lublin region occupied. In Podlasie, 46 percent of beds are occupied, and in Podkarpacie 42 percent – he informed.
He noted that voivodes are constantly increasing the bed base. – We are able to increase the bed base to approximately 11-12 thousand within 24 to 48 hours and increase it to 17-20 thousand in the following days. As of today, there is no such need yet, but in the regions where the situation is the most difficult, it can be seen that this bed base is increasing – the spokesman noted.
He called for the observance of epidemic rules. – The epidemic has not passed, we will soon be at the level of about five thousand infections (daily – ed.), So this is the time when we should all take care of ourselves and take care of the rest of our fellow citizens by covering our nose and mouth, said Andrusiewicz.
