Coronavirus in Poland – today. New Cases of Infection and Death – November 12

The Ministry of Health announced on Friday 12,965 new cases of SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus infection. The ministry also said that 31 people with COVID-19 have died. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 3,175,769 infections have been confirmed in Poland, a total of 78,555 people have died due to the coronavirus. The number of patients in hospitals is at its highest since May 15.

According to the Ministry of Health’s announcement, the highest number of new infections was confirmed in Mazowieckie voivodship – 3082. The remaining cases concern the following voivodeships: Śląskie (1432), Małopolskie (989), Wielkopolskie (925), Dolnośląskie (828), Lubelskie (777), Zachodniopomorskie (777), Łódzkie (656), Pomorskie (643), Podkarpackie (636), Podlasie (512), Kuyavian-Pomeranian (507), Opole (316), Warmian-Masurian (269), Lubuskie (241), Świętokrzyskie (228).

147 infections are data without specifying an address, which are to be completed by the sanitary inspection.

The ministry said on Friday that 31 people diedof which 24 had comorbidities.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, 3,175,769 infections have been confirmed in Poland, a total of 78,555 people have died due to the coronavirus.

Data from hospitals

Friday’s epidemic data report shows that:

18 216 beds are intended for patients with COVID-19 (+386 compared to the previous day), – of this 12 419 beds are occupied by COVID-19 patients (+389), – 1639 ventilators are intended for patients with COVID-19 (+52), – of which 1063 respirators are currently used (+57), – 410 504 people are in quarantine (+8 193), – 2 774 179 people recovered (+9 828).

The number of patients in hospitals is at its highest since May 15.

The number of patients treated with ventilators is at its highest since May 24.

On Monday, the data on infections announced that day was commented on by the spokesman of the Ministry of Health, Wojciech Andrusiewicz. – If we look at the percentage increases, they have been identical in recent days. We are at about 50 percent week-on-week growth. Today’s result is also close to 50 percent growth compared to last Monday – he said.

He pointed out that, according to the data obtained by the ministry, “mostly difficult hospitalizations and deaths related to vaccinated people, as they also happen, concern people who have at least two comorbidities”. – That is why we care so much that people with impaired immunity, the elderly use the third dose – he added.
