Government spokesman: imposing restrictions at the moment is unjustified

Government spokesman Piotr Mueller, asked on Saturday about the possible introduction of restrictions in connection with the worsening epidemic situation, said that “the state, the government must make decisions based on comprehensive information, that is, on the one hand, medical, and on the other hand, economic and social”. – The situation compared to what was a year ago is completely different. At the moment, every citizen can get vaccinated, every citizen can definitely increase his protection against the disease due to the fact that we have a universal vaccination system – he said.

– Introducing restrictions at the moment, when the hospital base is so far efficient to help all who fell ill, is unjustified, because it would also have a negative impact on the economic effects, and in the case when we are also dealing with inflation risk at a high level , this is the last thing that citizens would probably like in order to implement additional economic crisis incentives – explained the government spokesman.

Mueller said the bed base is being expanded as announced. He added that the overwhelming majority of those who did not get vaccinated, despite the fact that they could get vaccinated, suffer from illness.

– We said that if there are some kind of restrictions, if the situation with regard to the hospital base is unsatisfactory and makes it impossible to help the sick, then restrictions will be introduced in this area, which, as it is now in force, do not apply to the vaccinated persons – pointed out the spokesman .
