Coronavirus in Poland – today. New cases of infection and death – November 6

The Ministry of Health announced on Saturday about 15,190 new cases of SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus infection. The ministry also said that 186 people with COVID-19 have died. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 3,091,713 infections have been confirmed in Poland, a total of 77,733 people have died due to the coronavirus. There are 400,821 people in quarantine.

According to the Ministry of Health’s announcement, the greatest number of new infections in the last 24 hours was confirmed in Mazowieckie voivodship – 3470.

The remaining cases concern the following voivodeships: Lubelskie (1783), Śląskie (1025), Podlaskie (991), Łódzkie (893), Wielkopolskie (856), Małopolskie (854), Zachodniopomorskie (854), Dolnośląskie (853), Pomorskie (718), Kuyavian-Pomeranian (713), Podkarpackie (708), Warmian-Masurian (556), Świętokrzyskie (284), Lubuskie (259), Opole (229).

144 infections are data without specifying an address, which are to be completed by the sanitary inspection.

The ministry said on Saturday that 186 people died146 of them had comorbidities.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, 3,091,713 infections have been confirmed in Poland, a total of 77,733 people have died due to the coronavirus.

Data from hospitals

Saturday’s epidemic report shows that:

15 042 the beds are intended for patients with COVID-19 (+1 191 compared to the previous day), – of this 9473 beds are occupied by COVID-19 patients (+576), – 1366 ventilators are intended for patients with COVID-19 (+76), – of which 798 respirators are currently in use (+56), – 400 821 people are in quarantine (+20 729), – 2,736,292 people recovered (+6805).

The number of patients in hospitals is at its highest since May 10. The number of patients treated with ventilators is at its highest since May 28. The number of people sent by the Sanepid to quarantine has exceeded 400,000 and is the highest since April 10. This means that more than one percent of Poles are currently in quarantine (the country’s population is just over 38 million).

The COVID-19 epidemic in Poland

Over three million confirmed SARS-CoV-2 infections and four waves, the highest of which has been the third so far, and the fourth is still growing – this is a brief picture of the history so far the COVID-19 epidemic in Poland. However, if you go down to the level of individual provinces, it turns out that in two regions, in the Lublin region and Podlasie, the fourth wave has already surpassed what happened there during the third wave.
