Will COVID-19 vaccinations remain free? This question was answered on Tuesday by Health Minister Adam Niedzielski – All those who will be vaccinated against COVID-19 in September and October due to the forthcoming fourth wave and the increase in the number of infections will be able to do it free of charge – he said. – There will definitely be a moment in time – I would not prejudge whether it will be from the beginning of the year – when this vaccination will be covered by the usual reimbursement system – he added.

– Normal vaccinations that we have in the vaccination calendar or others are subject to the reimbursement rules. That is, if you specify groups within which the refund is 100 percent. or 50 percent, this fee is gradually reduced – said Niedzielski.

Vaccinations against COVID-19. Will they be free?

He admitted that “vaccination against COVID-19 had a slightly different formulation from the beginning.” – There were no groups indicated. The entire population was determined and full availability. There will definitely be a moment in time – I would not prejudge whether it will be from the beginning of the year – when this vaccination will be covered by the standard reimbursement system – said the head of the Ministry of Health.

He explained that “if covid vaccinations are covered, we will decide on the level of reimbursement, which may be different in individual groups, as it is in the case of vaccination, e.g. for influenza, where vaccinations for people of senior age are fully reimbursed. we will make these decisions – said Niedzielski.
