School principal: vaccinate as many teachers, school staff and students as possible
Marcin Konrad Jaroszewski, director of the XXXII Secondary School of General Education named after Jan Śniadeckiego in Warsaw.
He pointed out that “The Interdisciplinary Center for Mathematical and Computational Modeling at the University of Warsaw showed an analysis that the fourth wave is approaching and September-October is the expected date”. – We know that the Ministry of National Education has sent messages about taking actions to prepare schools for the new school year. It is good that it is August 2, and not like last year, we did not know until the end what would happen – he emphasized.
– The opening of schools in September (2020 – ed.) Was a big mistake, we know what it ended with. Now the situation is a bit different, because we have a split-off part of society – he added.
As he said, “the data from the ministry shows that 70 percent of teachers are already vaccinated, which, considering that it is an educated group, is not much”. – We should do everything to avoid school closures and distance learning. It all comes down to vaccinating as many teachers, school staff and students as possible – said Jaroszewski.
In his opinion, “vaccinations should be compulsory for everyone”.
Sutkowski: the hysteria surrounding childhood vaccinations is unjustified
The President of Warsaw Family Physicians, Michał Sutkowski (Lazarski University), referred to the issue of vaccinating children against COVID-19.
As he assessed, the hysteria surrounding this topic “is unjustified”. – There is an ongoing research on the immunization of children. We know for sure that we can vaccinate children over the age of 12, while all other research studies are based on bioethical committees and certain rules – said the doctor.
– Here, no narrative should be created that would inhibit this process, the more so because children are sick and transmit the coronavirus – he added.
Sutkowski pointed out that “vaccination of children is very important not only for the sake of adults and population immunity, but for themselves”.
