Vladimir Putin has been vaccinated again against COVID-19, Russian news agencies reported on Sunday. The Russian president has received the Sputnik Light vaccine.

“Today, as recommended by you and your colleagues, I received another vaccine – Sputnik Light,” Putin said at a meeting with the deputy director of the Russian Gamaley National Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology Research, which developed both vaccines.

Sputnik Light is a single-dose coronavirus vaccine that was approved in Russia in May. In addition, the following vaccines are approved for use in this country: Sputnik V, KoviVac and EpiVacCorona.

Vladimir Putin said in June 2021 that he had been vaccinated with the Sputnik V vaccine. First vaccination took place in March. One of Putin’s daughters was also vaccinated with Sputnik V. The president has two daughters, during the June teleconferenceduring which he answered questions from his countrymen, he did not specify which of them had taken the preparation. He only said that “in the evening after vaccination, her temperature rose to 37.5 degrees, which lasted no more than a day.” Vladimir Putin himself was supposed to feel well after receiving the COVID-19 vaccine.
