“Friends” actors Matt LeBlanc and Courteney Cox said goodbye to Matthew Perry in personal posts that they posted a few hours apart on Tuesday. LeBlanc, the series’ Joey, noted that the time spent with the actor was “one of the favorites of his life.” Cox, the series’ Monica, shared with fans one of her “favorite moments” from working on the set of the series, when she and Perry acted out a scene in bed in a hotel room in London.
Matthew Perry, star of the series “Friends”, was found dead on October 28 in his Los Angeles mansion. He was 54 years old. An autopsy was performed, but the cause of the artist’s death is still unknown.
On October 31, the “Friends” actors – Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, David Schwimmer and Matt LeBlanc – who spent 10 years on the set with Perry, wrote that they were “completely devastated” by his loss.

“Fly, brother, you are finally free”
On Tuesday, Matt LeBlanc, the series’ Joey Tribbiani, said goodbye to Perry in an Instagram post. “I say goodbye with a heavy heart. The moments we spent together are some of the favorites of my life. It was an honor to share the stage with you and call you my friend,” he wrote.
“I will always smile when I think of you and I will never forget you. Never,” the actor emphasized. “Spread your wings and fly, brother, you’re finally free. And I assume you’ll keep the 20 bucks you owe me,” he wrote.

Cox shows off one of his “favorite moments” with Perry
Three hours later, Courteney Cox, Perry’s wife, Monica Geller, also published a memory about the actor. She wrote that she was “grateful for every moment spent” with him. “Matty, I miss you every day,” she emphasized.
Addressing her more than 14 million Instagram fans, she noted that she has collected “thousands of moments” with Perry that she would like to share. “This is one of my favorites so far. The story is this: Chandler and Monica were supposed to spend one night together in London. But because of the audience’s reaction, it became the beginning of their love story. In this scene, before we started filming, he whispered a funny line to me to be terminated. He often did such things. He was funny and kind,” she mentioned, publishing the scene and the audience’s reaction, which could not be included in the series episode because the actors went out of character.

54-year-old Matthew Perry was buried at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Los Angeles. The two-hour ceremony was private. About 20 people attended – members of the actor’s immediate family, including the actor’s parents and stepfather, as well as Aniston, Cox, Kudrow, Schwimmer and LeBlanc. An autopsy was performed did not provide a clear answer to the question of why Perry died. Investigators are still waiting for the results of the toxicology report, the preparation of which may take up to several weeks.
