The Ministry of Health extends the validity of covid certificates for people who take the third dose of the coronavirus vaccine. The document will be valid for one year from the date of the booster dose, informed the Minister of Health, Adam Niedzielski.

“We extend the validity period of the certificate based on the recommendation of the Medical Council. The third vaccination is so important for building our immunity that we have allowed ourselves not to wait for the decision at the level of the entire European Union. entering the group of people protected by vaccination “- explains the Minister of Health Adam Niedzielski.

Currently, there are no international arrangements for the EU COVID Certificate and the adoption of an additional dose of vaccination. Therefore, the adoption of the third (or additional second) vaccine was not recorded on the certificate. Following the ministry’s decision, from Saturday November 13, the COVID certificate is valid for one year from the date of the booster dose. Those who took a booster before that date will also have a one-year validity period for the certificate.

As after the second dose (in the case of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine – one dose), now the document will be available to patients in the Internet Patient Account (IKP) and the m-citizen application. If you do not use either of these two electronic tools, you can request a printout of your certificate from your Primary Healthcare or Immunization Center.
