The construction of the Central Communication Port is “fundamentally important for our security,” Andrzej Duda said on Monday. The president also said that we will not complete the energy transformation without a nuclear power plant.

President Andrzej Duda met on Monday with the residents of Konin (Greater Poland Voivodeship). – We will not achieve the energy transformation without nuclear energy – argued President Andrzej Duda. He stated that he would fight for the construction of a nuclear power plant in the Konin region. Duda also assessed that large investments in Poland were at risk.

During the meeting, Duda appealed for changes in the energy system. – We need an energy sector that will save natural resources as much as possible – especially those that are exhaustible – and use as much as possible of those that are, it can be assumed, in some sense, inexhaustible – said Duda and mentioned wind energy in this context and solar.

The president reminded that there are coal-fired power plants in the Konin region, providing – as he said – 8 percent. energy demand in Poland. According to Duda, “we will have to make a serious change in this respect.” He emphasized that the region needs a nuclear power plant.

He assessed that nuclear energy is safe for the environment. – This is the energy that is the energy of the future. Let's not be deceived by the cries, especially those of some crazy circles from across the Western border who are crazy to give up the use of nuclear energy altogether. This is bullshit. We will not achieve the energy transformation without the use of nuclear energy, Duda said.

The president argued that “large investments in Poland must not be allowed to be stopped.” – We need to fight for this both in the European Union and at the national level. They are at risk right now, he added.

The president about CPK

The president also stated that Central Communication Port from his perspective, it is a key investment. – I will fight for the Central Communication Port, which is also close to the country and will be a very noticeable, in the most positive sense, new form of opening up to the world – said the president.

Duda announced that thanks to CPK “the largest planes will be able to fly to us, we will have a transhipment and transfer hub, we will have a development impulse.” – But above all, we will also have additionally strengthened strategic security – he emphasized.

The president emphasized that the largest military transport planes will be able to land at such a large airport. – So that in case of a threat, our allies can fly here, so that soldiers can fly here, so that additional equipment can come here to defend the Republic of Poland, to defend FOR THIS – he pointed out.

– This is fundamentally important for our security – added Duda.

The President assessed that the CPK, together with the entire communication, road and railway infrastructure, is essential for the development of Poland.

– Here, in central Poland, between Konin and Warsaw, a large airport must be built and everything must be done to make it happen. It is necessary in Poland, just as the development of our sea ports is necessary, he said.

The Central Communication Port is a planned transfer hub between Warsaw and Łódź, which is to integrate air, rail and road transport. As part of this project, 37 km west of Warsaw, in an area of approx. 3 thousand hectares, an airport is to be built. The CPK will also include railway investments: a junction at the airport and connections throughout the country, which should enable travel between Warsaw and the largest Polish cities in no longer than 2.5 hours.
