The prosecutor’s office announced charges against a 21-year-old man after the death of a woman whose body was found in one of the apartments in Krakow. He gave an explanation, but did not confess to the murder. He was temporarily arrested.
November 18 in an apartment at ul. Bytomska in Kraków, the body of a 20-year-old woman was found. An examination of the scene indicated that a murder had occurred. The police determined that the perpetrator may be the murdered woman’s 21-year-old partner.
“The search began. The officers received information that the man had flown to London on a scheduled flight after the murder. On November 21, he was arrested when he reported to one of the Krakow prosecutor’s offices with his lawyer. The evidence collected in the case allowed him to be charged with murder on November 22. By decision of the court, he was temporarily arrested for three months. For murder, he is punishable by imprisonment for a period of not less than 10 years or life imprisonment,” the Małopolska police said in a statement.

The investigation is being conducted by the Kraków-Krowodrza District Prosecutor’s Office. “The suspect did not admit to committing the act he was accused of, and provided extensive explanations,” investigators said.
A person who may be responsible for submitting false testimony was also detained in this case.
