The man who destroyed the door of the Law and Justice office in Krakow in August was arrested. According to the police, the suspect was supposed to do it because of different political views. The 35-year-old was under police supervision.
Application for destruction of the door It was sent to Krakow police officers on August 21 at 11 p.m. The case was then commented by Michał Drewnicki from PiS, according to which the perpetrator acted in a rage, and the whole event seemed to be planned.
Police officers inspected the door and secured the video surveillance inside the building.
– The incident was recorded on monitoring, but the perpetrator was masked, had a mask on his face and a cap on his head. Despite this, the police established the suspect’s identity – said Sebastian Gleń, spokesman for the Małopolska police force, on Friday.
Charges for damaging the door
A 35-year-old man was identified and detained in the street. He was – as reported by the police – surprised.
– During the interrogation, he confessed to destroying the office door with a hammer – said a spokesman for the Małopolska police. He added: – his motive was his reluctance to the ideology of this party and the fact that he did not agree with its views.
A man is facing a three-month to five-year imprisonment for damaging property. The prosecutor applied police surveillance against him.
