The Ministry of National Defense showed a video which, according to the Ministry of National Defense, shows a Belarusian officer who “under the cover of night” destroys the border fence between Poland and Belarus. The film comes from the ministry, its authenticity cannot be verified as the media do not have access to the border area covered by the state of emergency by the Polish authorities.

On Monday, groups of hundreds of migrants started gathering at the border crossing in Kuźnica, on the Belarusian side. The Ministry of Interior and Administration described that “with the support of local services, they are probably preparing to cross the border by force”. A camp was built next to the passage. There have been no serious incidents on site since then.

Since September 2, due to migratory pressure in the border zone with Belarus, 183 localities of the Podlaskie and Lubelskie voivodships have been in a state of emergency. Under the Presidential Ordinance issued at the request of the Council of Ministers, the state of emergency was first introduced for 30 days, and then at the end of September the Sejm agreed to extend it by another 60.

Journalists have no access to the area covered by the state of emergency. When reporting on the events at the border, we can use almost only official government recordings and information.
