The head of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity, Jerzy Owsiak, commented on the matter in “Fakty po Faktach” on TVN24. He was asked what I would like to say to the perpetrators of this act.

“You have done a terrible thing, you have scared the people who are bringing help,” he replied. He added that “the war narrative that is carried out in the public media, for example, (…) is not true.”

– It is as if you were trying to be aggressive towards the paramedic on the battlefield, it just doesn’t fit in your head – continued Owsiak. He stressed that “this cannot be done”.

– Karma will come back to you, because when you will be knocking on this help, she may not come to you. And then the world will collapse in your heads, your hearts, whatever they may be – said Owsiak.

– You have to apologize, never do it, because you never know when you will need help and then, may the world be kind to you, may the world be nice to you, may it want to hug you – added the TVN24 guest.

Owsiak also spoke about the 24-hour humanitarian aid point, which was established in Michałów at the beginning of November on the initiative of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity and the city’s local government.

Crisis on the border with Belarus

Since the spring, the number of attempts to illegally cross the Belarusian border with Lithuania, Latvia and Poland by migrants from the Middle East, Africa and other regions has increased sharply. The EU and its member states believe that this is the result of deliberate actions by Belarus in response to the sanctions. From the beginning of the year, the Border Guard recorded over 30,000. attempts to illegally cross the Polish-Belarusian border. Since September 2, due to the migratory pressure in 183 localities of the Podlaskie and Lubelskie voivodeships, adjacent to the border with Belarus, a state of emergency has been in force.

Journalists have no access to the area under the state of emergency. When reporting on the events at the border, the media can use almost exclusively official government recordings and information.
