The Border Guard published on its Twitter profile a video showing the place where a large group of migrants was camping on Thursday. The video shows heavy construction equipment cleaning up the rubble. Next to it is a truck loaded with logs and wood limbs.

The footage is marked with the following entry: “The services are now tidying up the site of an abandoned camp near the border crossing in Bruzgi”.

On Thursday evening, the spokesman of the minister for the special services coordinator, Stanisław Żaryn, informed on Twitter that the Bruzgi camp had been deserted.

“The Belarusian services direct foreigners to the Bremino warehouses so that they regenerate after the activities carried out at our border. It is also a manifestation of the information game. Belarus rotates those who are to exert pressure on Poland” – wrote the spokesman. To his entry, he added a Border Guard entry with a recording showing the border region published on Friday afternoon. “Today, the lair near the border crossing in Bruzgi has been deserted. The Belarusian services have directed foreigners to a transport and logistics center located a few hundred meters away” – wrote the Border Guard.

Attempts to cross the border illegally

On Friday, the Border Guard announced that in the past 24 hours there were 255 attempts to illegally cross the Polish-Belarusian border, including “two large groups tried to cross the border by force – one had 500 and the other 50 foreigners”.

Since the beginning of the year, the Border Guard has recorded over 34,000 attempts to illegally cross the Polish-Belarusian border, of which over 6,000 in November, nearly 17.3,000 in October, almost 7.7,000 in September and over 3,500 in August.

From September 2, due to the migratory pressure in the border zone with Belarus in 183 localities in the voivodeship In Podlasie and Lublin regions, a state of emergency is in force. It was introduced for 30 days under the ordinance of President Andrzej Duda, issued at the request of the Council of Ministers. The Seym agreed to extend the state of emergency for another 60 days. Due to the state of emergency, the media do not have access to the border zone. For this reason, information provided by the services and official factors cannot be subject to journalistic verification.

By the middle of next year, a steel fence will be erected on the border with Belarus, topped with barbed wire and enriched with electronic devices. The dam, 180 km long and 5.5 m high, will be built in Podlasie. Along the border, motion sensors as well as day and night cameras will be installed. The Bug River is a natural dam in the Lublin region.
