Crowds on the Silence March. Toruń honored the memory of the killed 24-year-old

The streets of Toruń passed the March of Silence after the murder of 24-year-old Klaudia, which on the night of June 11-12 attacked a 19-year-old foreigner in the Glazja Park. The woman died two weeks later in the hospital. About ten thousand people took part in the event.

The march started on Sunday after 3pm from the Copernicus monument in Toruń's Old Town. He gathered a large number of residents of Toruń, raised by this tragedy. Participants of the march moved from the Old Market Square and defeated the route to the Glazja Park, where there was a crime. The meeting took place in silence and was a moment of common reflection and memory and a gesture of support for the family and close to 24-year-old Klaudia.

Many people were carrying white roses, some white and red flags or flags with emblems of national and patriotic communities. Anti -immigrant slogans also appeared. Participants had banners with them, which showed, among others, the inscriptions “Stop Immigrant wilderness”, “Stop of illegal immigration”.

In the place of the tragedy, the participants stuck a wooden cross, which they carried through the entire route. They laid flowers with him and lit candles. The assembly took place in a very peaceful atmosphere, no incidents were recorded. Finally, the gathered sang the national anthem.

The organizers thanked the participants before the end of the assembly. They said, among others, that at such moments there are not important political colors and divisions. They mentioned the night tragedy in Nowe Świecie, where a 41-year-old died from a knife. A 29-year-old Colombian is suspected of murder.

Police officers present on the spot that about 10,000 people participated in the assembly.

The march was organized by national and patriotic environments.

Toruń. The death of a 24-year-old

The woman died on Friday, June 27, two weeks after the attack. The autopsy showed that the cause of death was brain injury. The 19-year-old Venezuelan inflicted a few blows to a woman with a knife. At least a dozen stab wounds in the head, neck and chest, as well as defensive wounds on the hands of the deceased were revealed. The initial cause of death was brain injury.

The previous findings of the investigation show that Klaudia returning from work around 1am in the park was attacked by a 19-year-old. The police were informed about the incident by a witness who heard a call for help and ran out of the house, scoring the attacker.

Klaudia K. was provided with medical assistance and transported to the hospital. After a short pursuit, policemen several streets stopped a 19 -year -old Venezuela Citizen Yomekert RS, he was detained into intoxicated – he had 1.2 per mille of alcohol in his breath.

The prosecutor on June 13 presented the Yomeykert RS allegation of attempted murder. The suspect refused to respond to the allegation, refused to explain and answer questions.

The prosecutor, due to the fear of escaping a foreigner and the threatening severe punishment, submitted a request to the District Court in Toruń to apply detention. The court granted the application and arrested the Yomeykert RS for three months. In the coming days, another interrogation of a man is expected and a modified allegation to be announced – most likely a murder allegation.
