Curly. Artefacts from World War II excavated in the forest without permission. The police are looking for witnesses

A few months ago, monuments from the period of World War II were excavated in the Chojnów Forest without the required permit. The incident took place in Kędzierówka. Police officers from Piaseczno appeal to witnesses to report to the police station.

“Police officers of the Piaseczno Investigation Department, under the supervision of the District Prosecutor’s Office in Piaseczno, conduct searches for hidden monuments, using electronic or technical devices, without the required permit, as a result of which monuments from the period of World War II were revealed and excavated – provided by Magdalena Gąsowska from the District Headquarters in Piaseczno.

She calculated that the finds included items such as the remains of a VIS pistol, the remains of leather binoculars, the remains of a compass with inscriptions in English and others.

“The incident took place in May 2023 in the Chojnowski Forest, near the town of Kędzierówka,” the policewoman explained.
