The traveler started in September 2024. In about 40 days, he will travel by bike over 3,500 kilometers around Poland in an electric car. If the expedition is successful, Waligóra will be the first to accomplish this feat. However, the journey itself is just a pretext thanks to which he will be able to tell important stories.
The average Pole generated an average of 355 kg of municipal waste in 2022. This is 5 kg less than the previous year. 26.7% of waste was recycled, which is the same as in 2020 and 2021. – The growing popularity of electric vehicles and consumer electronics means that the problem of recycling used cells will increase with each passing year – says Waligóra. – How can we deal with this? And why should we? I will want to find answers to these questions, but also look at the peripheries of our country, because the electric bike will take me on a journey along borders Polish – adds the traveler.

Waligóra began his journey on September 1 in Klucze in the Błędów Desert during the Małopolska Tour event. Then he set off towards the Polish border tripoint, Czech and Slovakia to the place where in 2020 he began his march along the Vistula.
– And then? The road will lead me east! Maybe it will also be an opportunity to discuss the revolution in the world of bicycles, which is coming with each electric model? Almost since the beginning of their existence, bicycles have been able to connect worlds and sometimes divide people – I don't think it will be any different this time – says Waligóra.
Waligóra has been traveling extensively through Poland since 2020. During this time, he has traveled over 3,200 km on foot along the Vistula, Oder and Baltic Sea, as well as all the trails of the Tatra Mountains. He has not stopped expeditions to hard-to-reach places – he conquered the South Pole and reached the summit Mount Everest from sea level.
