A bus caught fire on national road No. 22 in Czarna Woda (Pomeranian Voivodeship). 35 passengers and the driver managed to evacuate before the fire brigade arrived. Nothing serious happened to anyone. The police are investigating the circumstances.
The services received a report of a bus fire on Sunday at 12:51 p.m. As told to us by junior captain engineer Michał Swobodziński from the State Fire Service in Starogard Gdański, four fire brigades worked on site.
– They extinguished the fire in the engine compartment of the bus. 35 people and the driver evacuated before the units arrived – added SwobodziÅ„ski.
The police are investigating the circumstances
The press officer added that it was a tourist bus and belonged to a private carrier. 36 people were transported to the Volunteer Fire Department in Czarna Woda, where they were waiting for replacement transport.
The fire brigade and a police technician were on site. The officers are explaining the exact circumstances of the incident.
