Dangerous maneuvers and aggression of a bus driver in Częstochowa. The published recording shows a vehicle of the municipal carrier overtaking another car in a prohibited place, almost causing a head-on collision with a cement mixer. Some time later, the driver brakes suddenly and finally blocks the roundabout, taking photos of the witness. MPK has already terminated the contract with him, the case is being investigated by the police.
The recording of the bus driver's scandalous behavior was published on YouTube and on the local portal klobucka.pl. The situation, in which the vehicle of the municipal carrier almost collided head-on with a cement mixer, occurred on Monday (September 2) at around 10 a.m. on Aleja Pokoju in Częstochowa.
A city bus was overtaking on a “double solid line”
A video recorded by a camera placed in another car shows a bus number 13 overtaking a vehicle despite the double solid lines. At the same time, a cement mixer was approaching from the opposite direction and narrowly missed the public transport vehicle.

The bus driver risked a head-on collision – not only was he at risk, but at least two passengers who got off at the next stop were as well. It is difficult to assess whether there were any people in the vehicle other than the driver in the rest of the video.
As you can see in the video, after leaving the bus stop, the bus driver suddenly stopped for unknown reasons. The video description describes this behavior as a “brake check,” which means a situation in which a driver suddenly, hard, and for no apparent reason brakes to maliciously “check the brakes” and reflexes of the person behind them. Such behavior often results in a collision.
Some time later, the bus entered the small Tomasz Szwejkowski roundabout, which it drove around. The person recording stopped his car in front of the intersection, and the bus driver blocked his way, stopped, opened the door and started taking pictures with his phone. Then he drove away.
Mr. Grzegorz, the author of the recording, explained in the description of the video that he did not use his horn against the aggressive driver (the video was published without sound). He claims that the city bus driver could have been provoked by his slow driving in a place where the maximum permitted speed is 30 km/h.
MPK: driver no longer works
As Maciej Hasik, spokesman for the Częstochowa Municipal Transport Company, told TVN24, the explanatory proceedings regarding the situation in the recording began on Tuesday (September 3) before the driver started his shift.

– Not getting carried away by internet emotions that naturally appeared, we checked what the situation was (…). After seeking the opinion of the police, after listening to the employee, this morning, cooperation with this man was terminated. He stopped being an employee of the Częstochowa Municipal Transport Company – said the spokesman.
Hasik apologized on behalf of MPK for the situation, adding that it should never have happened. He informed that the dismissed driver had less than 10 years of service and there had been no complaints about him so far. He added that the employment contract was terminated with immediate effect, emphasizing, however, that the employee had not been dismissed for disciplinary reasons. The spokesman added that so far there had been no complaints about the man.
The recording was sent to the police
The police are also currently looking into the matter. As the spokeswoman for the Częstochowa police, Staff Sergeant Barbara Poznańska, told TVN24, “after the recording appeared online, the police secured the material and implemented actions aimed at establishing all the circumstances of this reckless driving.”
– This is not the only evidence we have. We also have secured other monitoring, which will be thoroughly reviewed and analyzed by Częstochowa police officers – said the press officer.
