Police officers from Częstochowa traffic police detained a Toyota driver for inspection. It turned out that a 25-year-old Georgian citizen, wanted for over a year with a red Interpol rating, was driving the wheel.

In Aleja Bohaterów Monte Cassino in Częstochowa, a road patrol stopped a Toyota driver. The reason was a traffic violation. During the ID card it turned out that a 25-year-old Georgian citizen, currently residing in Warsaw, is wanted with a red Interpol mark.

Quiet detention and arrest for seven days

The press officer of the Częstochowa headquarters, sub-commissioner Sabina Chyra-Giereś, said that the detention was peaceful. The driver did not resist. – The man was taken to the police station. The arrest hearing was held the next day. He was detained for seven days – he explains.

Theft in Iraq and the red note

The red note is the highest category of arrest warrants issued by Interpol as an international organization of law enforcement agencies in the Member States. It is issued for the most dangerous criminals and means searches for the purpose of arrest, arrest and extradition.

From February 2020, the 25-year-old was sought by cooperating services in nearly 200 countries. It is about the theft of tens of thousands of dollars in Iraq.

Now the court will decide about the fate of the man.
