Częstochowa. Results of the Senate elections. Wojciech Konieczny from the New Left is ahead of Monika Pohorecka from PiS

Data from 94.12 percent of district committees in the Senate constituency number 69, covering Częstochowa, show that Wojciech Konieczny from the New Left (Senate Pact) won 49.38 percent of the votes, and Monika Pohorecka from PiS 30.45 percent. Konieczny will thus defend the senatorial mandate he won four years ago.

The National Electoral Commission reported the results of 94.12 percent of precinct commissions in the Senate electoral district no. 69.

According to partial voting results, from 128 out of 136 district electoral commissions in district number 69, Senator of the Republic of Poland of the expiring term, Wojciech Konieczny from the New Left, obtained 55,642 votes, while Monika Pohorecka from PiS – 34,309.

Senate electoral district no. 69 includes Częstochowa – a city with county rights. In addition to the two candidates mentioned above, the following people also ran for the senatorial seat: Marcin Maranda from Bezpartyj Samorządowcy, 12,179 voters voted for him (10.81%), and Małgorzata Bieńkowska from Konfederacja, who obtained 10,546 votes, which is 9.36%. votes counted so far.
