The police establish the whereabouts of a 51-year-old woman when she was hit by a 56-year-old bus driver in Dąbrowa Górnicza (Śląskie Voivodeship). It is known that the 56-year-old had over three per mille of alcohol in his body then and he was carrying passengers.
The incident took place on Monday at around 2 p.m. on Hutnicza Street in Dąbrowa Górnicza. The 56-year-old driver of bus 609 ran into a 51-year-old woman.
– The woman was hit when she tried to get into the car parked on the route of the 609 bus. It was not the area of the stop – Marcin Kasprzyk, spokesman for the police in Dąbrowa Górnicza told us.
At the moment, the police cannot specify exactly where the woman was and whether she was on the road. As Kasprzyk says, these circumstances will be established after the victim and the driver are interviewed. Meanwhile, the 51-year-old is in hospital and the 56-year-old is sober in police custody.
The bus driver had over three parts per mille
– The sobriety test at the scene of the accident showed that the 56-year-old driver – a resident of Dąbrowa Górnicza – had over three per mille of alcohol in the exhaled air – says the policeman.
The interrogation of the man and bringing him to the prosecutor’s office is scheduled for Wednesday morning.
– The woman was conscious. Concussion was suspected. Most likely, he has a broken shoulder bone, the spokesman said.
Witnesses will also be heard, including passengers on bus 609 who were traveling in it at the time of the accident.
