Dana Carvey‘s household is in mourning.
His 32-year-old son Dex Carvey died on Nov. 15 attributable to an unintentional drug overdose, the comic shared on Instagram.
“Final night time we suffered a horrible tragedy,” he and spouse Paula Zwagerman wrote in a joint assertion Nov. 16. “Dex packed lots into these 32 years. He was extraordinarily proficient at so many issues—music, artwork, movie making, comedy—and pursued all of them passionately.”
The couple—who additionally share son Thomas Carvey, 30—continued of their tribute, “It isn’t exaggeration to say that Dex cherished life. And once you had been with him, you really liked life too. After noting they will miss their son “perpetually,” the pair ended by saying that others fighting habit are of their “hearts and prayers.”
In response to media protection of the tragedy, Dana shared a photograph of his eldest son in a separate submit, writing, “F–k the tabloids. That is my boy.”
