Daniel Craig says goodbye to the character of Her Majesty’s agent in the movie from Bond’s series “Don’t Time to Die”. In a radio interview, he was asked if he thought 007 should play a woman. “There should just be better roles written for women and non-white people,” said the actor.
Daniel Craig plays the role of James Bond for the last time in Don’t Time to Die. The actor, who has been involved in the film series for 15 years, was asked during one of the radio interviews whether his role in the next films of agent 007 should be played by a woman.
“There should just be better roles for women and non-white people,” he said. Why would a woman play James Bond when there should be roles as good as James Bond, but for women? he asked.
James Bond “is a man”
Craig’s position is in line with what Bond’s heir to the rights to the Bond franchise and her co-producer Barbara Broccoli said in January this year. – He may have (James Bond – ed.) Any skin color, but he is a man – she emphasized in an interview with Variety. – I am convinced that we should create new characters for women. Strong, feminine characters – she added.
“The Guardian” recalled at the beginning of September that the first woman in the role of MI6 agent, assigned the number 007 of the agent, will appear in the latest installment of “No Time To Die”. She is played by Lashana Lynch. The actress, however, denied the rumors that in this way the woman would take over the role of James Bond. – We are at a time when the industry not only gives the audience what they could expect. He gives the audience what he wants to give – added the actress.

“James Bond leaves active duty and enjoys a quiet life in Jamaica. Meanwhile, however, his old friend Felix Leiter of the CIA turns to him for help. The mission to save a kidnapped scientist turns out to be much more insidious than it seems and leads Agent 007 to a trail of a mysterious villain with a new, extremely dangerous technology “- we read in the official description of the film.
