Brighton striker Danny Welbeck might be out till after the September worldwide break with a recurrence of a hamstring harm, says his membership supervisor Graham Potter.

Welbeck, 30, has not featured in pre-season and is about to overlook the membership’s opening three video games of the brand new Premier League marketing campaign towards Burnley, former membership Watford and Everton.

The previous England worldwide injured his hamstring in Albion’s penultimate match of final season – a 3-2 win towards league champions Manchester Metropolis.

“It is a bit recurrence of what he picked up on the finish of final season,” Potter advised Sky Sports activities.

Brighton’s first sport after the worldwide break is at Brentford on September 11.

Welbeck, who joined Brighton in October 2020, signed a brand new one-year contract on the membership in June.
