The bassist and vocalist of the punk rock band Siekiera Dariusz Malinowski died at the age of 55. Together with the band, he created the album “Nowa Aleksandria”.
Vocalist and bassist Dariusz Malinowski died on December 12. The information about his death was confirmed, among others, by the former drummer of Siekiera, Zbigniew Musiński, and the former vocalist, Tomasz Budzyński. Malinowski died at the age of 55.
The punk rock band Siekiera was founded in the early 1980s in Puławy. The musicians gained popularity by performing in 1984 at the Rock Musicians Festival in Jarocin. Two years later, in 1986, the album “Nowa Aleksandria” was released, co-created by Malinowski.
Siekiera has created such songs as “Misiowie puszyści”, “Between us it is good” and “The Wave”. The band broke up in 1987.
