The court acquitted the organizers of the finale of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity in January 2019, when the president of Gdańsk, Paweł Adamowicz, and the policemen and official tried with them took place. The judgment is final. The conviction against the head of the security company was upheld, and the verdict against the security manager was overturned.

On Monday, the District Court in Gdańsk read the final judgment in the appeal process regarding irregularities during the organization of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity event on January 13, 2019 at Targ Węglowy in Gdańsk, during which the mayor of Gdańsk, Paweł Adamowicz, was murdered. According to the prosecutor's office, the organizers, the security company, the official and the police who made decisions regarding the organization of the concert during the preparations of the event were guilty of negligence and failure to fulfill their duties.

The court upheld an earlier acquittal against the accused of five people: the organizers of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity event, including the current Minister for Civil Society Agnieszka Buczyńska, two policemen and an official of the Roads and Greenery Authority. The conviction against the president of the Tajfun security company, Gracjan Z., is also final and he was sentenced in the first instance to six months' imprisonment, suspended for two years.

In the case of security manager Dariusz S., the court annulled the judgment for reconsideration due to the fact that during one of the hearings where witnesses were questioned, his defense lawyer was not present.
