We know what we are facing. There will be a million of these difficulties. But the more difficulties there are, the greater the motivation – said Cezary Tomczyk from the Civic Coalition in “Fakty po Faktach” on TVN24, referring to Monday’s debate on government television. Paulina Hennig-Kloska from Trzecia Droga said that “there is no doubt that it will not be a level battlefield.”
A pre-election debate is to be held on government television on Monday. “They will take part in it” Donald Tusk (Civic Coalition), Szymon Hołownia (Third Way), Joanna Scheuring-Wielgus (Left), Krzysztof Bosak (Confederation) and Krzysztof Maj (Non-Party Local Government Workers). PiS is to be represented by the Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki.
Jarosław Kaczyński, who had previously refused to participate in the debate with Tusk, announced that he was going to Przysucha on Monday.
They commented on the case in “Fakty po Faktach” on TVN24 Cezary Tomczyk from the Civic Coalition and Paulina Hennig-Kloska from Poland 2050, running from the election committee Third Way.
Tomczyk about the debate: the more difficulties there are, the greater the motivation
– The first thing we expect is Chairman Tusk’s victory in the debate, which is – as it turns out – the only debate where representatives of all committees will sit, said Tomczyk.
– And secondly, (we expect – editor) all the worst from TVP. I am convinced that not only will all the questions be set, but also that the main competitor, i.e. the PiS candidate, will know all of them from the beginning, he continued.

– We know what we are facing. And there will be a million of these difficulties. But I would also like it to be clear that the more difficulties there are, the greater the motivation. The more obstacles there are, the tighter the slingshot should be, he added.
– Of course, we will be ready for this debate. I think Poles are also ready (…). People are just waiting for this debate. To quote a classic, Poles simply deserve this debate, Tomczyk continued. At the same time, he said that “over 80 percent of Polish citizens want the Kaczyński-Tusk debate to take place.” He said that “Kaczyński is a coward in this matter.”
Hennig-Kloska on the debate: it will not be a level playing field
Paulina Hennig-Kloska talked about why her committee decided to participate in the debate. – We said clearly that we would participate in every debate. Because all committees deserve to seek voters’ votes. But we also owe it to our voters. Szymon Hołownia intends to convince some of the Law and Justice voters to his reasons, his values, his ideals. Because if in this group the committee is indicated as the second alternative that can be voted on, it is us, the Third Way, the MP continued.
At the same time, she added that there is “a growing group of Law and Justice voters who indicate the Third Way as their dear choice.” Today they hesitate. And for us this is an extremely important opportunity to attract these people to our side, she said.
Referring to the debate itself, Hennig-Kloska said that “there is no doubt that it will not be a level battlefield.” – I have no doubt that Mr. Mateusz Morawiecki will know all the answers by heart. I hope he doesn’t get the order wrong. However, we also expect manipulation, provocation – everything that accompanies us on TVP every day – said the representative of Third Way.
