A 20-year-old cadet, a student of the Military Aviation Academy in Dęblin (Lubelskie), disappeared two years ago. The remains were found earlier this year in a disused bunker on the premises of a military unit. However, we had to wait for the test results.

The information about the identification of the young man's remains was confirmed on Friday by the university's spokesman, Major Marek Przedpełski. As he said, on Thursday, the university received laconic information from the police about the identification of the body of a missing 20-year-old LAW student and the related conclusion of the proceedings of the military prosecutor from Lublin.

Search for a cadet

In July 2022, an angler found, among others, on the bank of Wieprz near Dęblin: abandoned clothes and documents of a 20-year-old from the province Silesian. Firefighters, police and soldiers were involved in the search for the student in water and on land.

In January this year, human remains were found in an unused bunker on the premises of a military unit in Dęblin. The deputy district prosecutor in Lublin for military affairs, Col. Robert Dąbek, announced an autopsy. Now it is known that these are the remains of the missing 20-year-old.
