Decathlon has posted a warning about a Tribord brand product: LJ150 N AIR sailing life vest + harness. In the announcement, the chain of stores announced that the reason for the recall of the model is that the manufacturer “has identified the potential risk of using the vest”.
Vest model withdrawn from the market
“In very rare cases, there is a risk of the harness breaking in the event of falling overboard. This defect does not affect the buoyancy of the product, but you risk no longer strapped to the boat and your safety will not be guaranteed,” wrote a Decathlon release.
He added that “the warning applies to products sold before their recall, between April 12, 2021 and August 27, 2021, inclusive.”
Decathlon – discontinued product model
Here are the details of the recalled product:
LJ150 N AIR LIFE SAFETY VEST + HARNESS; BRAND: TRIBORD; MODEL CODE: 8641609; ITEM CODE: 4271334.
Decathlon called on “to stop using the above-mentioned products without prior inspection”.
The chain invited customers “to return the product to the nearest store for a refund”. As we read in the release, the warning is valid until April 14, 2022.
Information on this matter also appeared on the twitter account of the Trade Inspection in Krakow. The announcement also informed about the recall of several Learn 500 Oxelo scooter models.
