Journalists of the “Poland i Úwiat” program on TVN24 decided to trace what we have already heard about lowering the health contribution.

Presidential candidates on health care

– You have to do both, i.e. relieve entrepreneurs, and on the other hand to reform health protection – said the candidate of the Civic Coalition during the debate in KoƄskie RafaƂ Trzaskowski.

– I would not sign a law that will weaken the Polish health service – assured the candidate PIS Karol Nawrocki.

Szymon HoƂownia From Poland 2050 announces that “he will build a team that will report every month and will present a draft system reform act next year.”

Magdalena Biejat, however, claims that RafaƂ Trzaskowski and Szymon HoƂownia are racing at who will convince the rich better.

Trzaskowski is in favor of lowering the health premium, but also announces investments in the availability of public services. He adds that as the president of the capital, he also obtains funds from the European Union.

– Of course, this requires a health care reform and leading to the fact that it is as effective as possible – reserves the candidate of the Civic Coalition and confirms that he would support the government's policy in this matter. – You do all this with the minister and this is a difficult task after years when there was chaos in health care – he adds.

Karol Nawrocki makes far -reaching promises. – I will be a president who will shorten the queues to doctors – he assures. He also promises this, based on anti -immigrant moods. – Polish citizens must have priority in queues to the doctor – he says.

Among these specific proposals of the boss IPN There was also the creation of a patient service center to improve queue management. – That you would know where to go with your prescription and what your way from a specialist to a specialist should look like – says Nawrocki.

The leader of the Confederation SƂawomir Mentzen wants more radical changes in the health care system. – Do you know someone who is satisfied with the Polish healthcare system? – asks the participants of the rally.

– The Polish health system is inefficient by its construction. She is based on a state monopolist NFZ. If something is a monopolist, it can't work well – he believes. – If it is still state, it certainly must work badly – he adds.

The confederation politician also suggested that you don't have to be a doctor to treat. – People can fold their hands and do not have to have a medical diploma – he claims and expresses the need to liquidate the National Health Fund, indicating, for example, German“where you can see that it works much better.”

Szymon HoƂownia does not want to add money to health protection. However, he proposes not privatization, but reform. – Without system reform, we will add several dozen billion to it each year and another, and another and this is a way to nowhere – he indicates.

The Marshal of the Sejm demanded a reduction in the premium for entrepreneurs. – Let's look for rationalization and the money where they are, and do not pull them out of the pockets of those who earn a sweat on them every day – he adds.

It is this matter that divides the coalition, because the left has a different opinion on this matter. Magdalena Biejat wants equal and certain access to healthcare – without dividing into Poland A or B. He puts on hospitals with better priced procedures.

– This is a departure from the health premium system through the transition to financing from the budget through the tax, which will be imposed on large companies, but which will not burden people working full -time – explains Biejat.

You can hear the clear “no” for the privatization of health care. Adrian Zandberg wants to spend more on her, eight percent of GDP. – Poland needs a president who will veto the privatization of health protection – says the candidate of the Together party.

Politicians bypass the subject of health service from afar

The president has no special competences in terms of health protection. He can come out with his own proposal, but it is working with the government that can introduce the most changes – if he disagrees with it, he has a veto at his disposal.

– The president will sign the laws and may veto the laws, and may submit a legislative initiative, but in practice the government affects how health protection works – explains political scientist dr hab. Szymon Ossowski from the Faculty of Political Sciences and Journalism of the University of Adam Mickiewicz in PoznaƄ.

And although the functioning of health protection among voters is the number one topic – among politicians on the Internet, this topic has been the least popular so far.

– We ask our patients at meetings with candidates: Ask about a prescription about health care. This is an important topic and do not let politicians escape it and say only what is convenient for them – notes the president of the Supreme Medical Council Ɓukasz Jankowski.
