The Warsaw-Wrocław train was diverted to the wrong track at the Warszawa Gdańska station. Karol Jakubowski from the press office of PKP PLK said that after several dozen minutes the situation was under control. However, there may be secondary delays caused by this event.

We asked Karol Jakubowski from the PKP PLK press office for details. – At 20.05 at the Warszawa Gdańska station, a Warsaw-Wrocław train was misdirected. There was no threat to passengers, because the devices indicated the possibility of the train entering the track. After 40 minutes, the train set off on its next journey after withdrawing and preparing the right track for it, Jakubowski said in an interview with tvnwarszawa.pl

He noted that train traffic has already been restored according to the schedule, and the commission will clarify the circumstances of this event. – There may be so-called secondary delays that were triggered by this event. Now PLK’s duty services run trains in such a way as to minimize delays, the spokesman assured.

Another incident on the tracks

This is not the first such situation recently. On Friday, near Warszawa Zachodnia station, a passenger train was diverted to the wrong track.
